We've got the STATE THEATRE booked for Nebraska Indpendent Film Projects July meeting!

WEDNESDAY JULY 9TH AT 5:29PM SHARP! WE HAVE TO CLEAR OUT AT 7PM, BUT WE'LL CONTINUE DOWNTOWN AFTERWARDS.

DRINKS! Just like the old days at Telepro! Anyone else remember Old Chicago or other NIFP meeting locations? Good for you!

We'll be seeing clips from Andrew and Jake will show us a scene from TROMD. And tell us the new name for this new HD feature he is editing as we speak.

NEW MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! Posters are printed! We have the Script ready to shoot the CALL FOR ENTRIES commercial. We'll post here and YouTube/Myspace/Blogs.

You're invited to see two locally made shorts at the State Theater in
Lincoln this Thursday, July 17th. Show starts at 8pm. Tickets are 5$.

Manna for the Damned (20 min - unrated)- Believing that girls are hot for
zombies, best friends Devon and Joe quest for brains to eat so they can
become the living dead and fulfill their wildest dreams. Produced and
directed by Dorothy Booraem.

Killer (85 min - unrated) - An orphaned girl is sent to live with her
sinister aunt. While she is struggling to fit in, a rash of unexplained
murders cause her to question her own sanity as she tries to figure out the
killer's identity. Produced and directed by Pete Lipins.

These independent filmmakers are both free range and organically grown.
Local filmmaking has real flavor!

Saturday July 26, 2008

We are planning a few workshops for this month. a comedy workshop and a two part audition workshop.

More details will follow for the comedy.
The audition workshop part one: with Derek Baker Saturday July 26th at 9:00am-10:30am.

This is a repeat for those who missed it last time around -and those who are newer to the group but should be a benefit to all. This workshop will help you to prepare for film and TV auditions in true Los Angeles style.

We will take a look at resume building,Headshots and train through video.
-This workshop will include a strong look at screen tests performed by seasoned talent and will help to develop the skills you will need to gain a competitive edge.
This workshop should help those who already have experience as well as those just beginning.

Cost:
$15.00 charter,
$20.00 individual&student
$30.00 for non-members

Part two:
Saturday July 26th at 10:30am-12:00pm.
