From one of NIFP’s founding members, John Spence:

“Greetings! A tidbit of news for the always hungry NIFP newsletter/website!

My film “Muth Williams: The Artist in the Basement” won a bronze award at the 2018 – 51st annual Houston International Film Festival! How about that!

There were two documentary categories – one for pieces under an hour and the other for longer ones. It was entered in the “short” documentary category. It is 41 minutes in duration.

There were 4,500 total submissions to the festival. I do not know how many entries there were in the short documentary group.

The “Remi” award is named after Frederic Remington, artist and sculptor from years ago.
