Join us for a discussion on producing next level music videos. In the age of Youtube and Vimeo, the medium is bigger and brighter than ever. Barton Funk will join us to discuss his career in the music industry and working with national and Nebraska musicians.

Barton Funk bio: Born in the Bronx New York, he joined the Army then attended the University of Nebraska on a track scholarship. Moved to London England after college to work for several record labels. Worked on music for Madonna, Duran Duran, Ed OG, Public Enemy, Queen Latifah and a boatload of British hip hop artists.

First video as director was 1995 in Norfolk Virginia for a group called NVA. Continued to work in the industry for a little while before switching to print media, becoming a syndicated news columnist and sports editor at various newspapers in North Carolina.

Back in Lincoln he has worked on independent projects including a short called Zombie Drug Dealer and promotional videos for the Live-From-Lincoln website. Directed the music video ‘4 Da Low’ for hip artist Icezing, and a new video for Tre Sixes.
