State Holds Talent Search

LINCOLN, Neb. (June 28, 2006) – The Nebraska Division of Travel and Tourism is searching for local talent to be featured in the state’s 2007 television and print campaign. This campaign will encourage people to visit Nebraska and will appear in the state and across the nation.

“Our goal is to find people who have a great deal of enthusiasm for the many attractions in their area and who can express that on camera,” said Christian Hornbaker, director of the Nebraska Division of Travel and Tourism. “By hiring local talent, we are recognizing the important role that each person plays in increasing visitors to our state. Encouraging family and friends to vacation here is one way Nebraskans can support the third largest industry in the state.”

Individuals interested in being considered should send their head shots and contact information to talent@VisitNebraska.org by July 7. A majority of the shoots will be done in July. Actors will be paid for their time.

CITIES and NEEDED TALENT:

Kearney: Two males and two females ages 30–45 are needed to fulfill the “parent” roles. A two-year-old boy and three girls between 3 and 10 years old will complete the “family.”

Valentine: Two males and one female ages 30–45 are needed to fulfill the “parent” roles. Two boys and one girl between 10 and 15 years old will complete the “families.”

Chadron: Two men and two women ages 18–22 are needed for our biking scenes. You must bring your own mountain bike and gear.

Ogallala: One male and one female ages 30–45 are needed to fulfill the “parent” roles. One boy and one girl between 3 and10 years old will complete the “families.”

Burwell: Two males and two female ages 30–50 are needed to fulfill the “parent” roles. A boy and girl ages 13 and 16 will be a “family’s” teenagers. Two boys and one girl between 3 and 10 years old will complete the “families.” A 60 year old male is also needed.
