Hope everyone is getting excited about Middle of Nowhere 2006! Entries are due on September 22nd and the competition screening will be October 21st (6:30PM) at the historic Joyo theater! This is NIFP's biggest event and we hope everyone gets to participate and come out to support Nebraska Independent film!

Our guest this month will be Jamie Wenz from Time Warner Cable. Lincoln residents will soon have a TREMENDOUS new resource to produce programming for air on cable channels 13 and/or 80. If you are willing to air your program on public access, you have access to great camera and editing gear for FREE! TWC's new public access studio is AMAZINGLY state of the art. We're talking Final Cut Pro editing stations hooked up to Xserve shared storage, brand new DV cameras to check out, and a 3 camera studio setup to rival most TV stations. Bring your questions and ideas, cause I know Jamie is actively seeking new shows! By all means check out Time Warner's public access facilities. Besides the internet, public access is one of the last venues for TRULY free speech in todays world. And I mean that! Well except for that crazy clown reviewing adult films. He should be banned to the internets! :)
