Comcast in Denver is putting a young hip spin on Public Access. Anything that gets people creating stuff is pretty neat in my book. Maybe we should look into getting more Time Warner grants to get stuff like an editing system or just a room in their public access studio as our "office".

Denver Open Media provides two types of underwriting opportunities for individuals and organizations who would like to support programming on the station, Block Underwriting and Program-Specific Underwriting.
Block UnderwritingBlock Underwriting

Deproduction/Denver Open Media is the exclusive solicitor of underwriting for Programming blocks. Basic underwriting programs include recognition at the beginning and end of the programming block, with a minimum of 6 total on-air recognitions weekly on Channel 58 and a minimum of two on-air recognitions weekly on Channel 57 (pending. based on programming schedule). Block underwriting is 100% tax deductible, with 100% of block underwriting funds going to Deproduction/Denver Open Media, not to producers of the shows within the block.
Program UnderwritingProgram Underwriting

Producers of individual programs are permitted to solicit underwriting support/sponsorship for their shows. Deproduction/Denver Open Media will provide Underwriting materials for the producers to present to potential sponsors, stipulating the terms of the underwriting agreement. Program underwriting is 100% tax-deductible as a donation to Deproduction, a Colorado-based 501c3, with 75% of the funds going directly to the shows producer and 25% going to cover Deproduction/Denver Open Media's operating costs.

Viewer Membership

Cost: $Free

For members who do not yet wish to produce content, but who want to participate in our viewer-driven programming schedule, the Viewer Membership plan is a free way to join the Open Media revolution.

Benefits: ?Once registered, Viewer Members may vote on-line, via telephone, and via text (some voting features may not be available until Feb. 07)

Programming MembershipProgramming Membership

Cost: $75 per year*

For members who produce and edit content on your own equipment, the Programming Membership is an affordable way to get your projects aired on Open Media. Programming Members may access our encoding kiosks to encode their projects to our broadcast server, but have no access to Field, Studio, or Editing equipment.

All crew members must take and pass Studio Certification, and use of the studio includes an hourly use fee, which is waived for 2006 ONLY.
