Movies on the Green All of the screenings are presented on the grass in front of Kimball Recital Hall, located at 12th and R Streets in Lincoln. Screenings are free and open to the public and begin at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.)

EVERY SECOND WEDNESDAY. 2ND WED IS NIFP.
We had a small but GREAT meeting, had some great candid discussion of members current projects. ALSO got pretty personal with members sharing their memories of their first MOVIE IN A THEATER experiences. Answers ranged from THE LITTLE MERMAID, to E.T., to obscure Italian horror films. Spence remembers a firetruck in front of a window, but not the name of the film. Ah we are a causal group.
NIFP wants to collaborate on a project with UNL's film group. If anyone can get us in touch with CINEMA16, please contact us on the site! Great job on the 72 hour film festival! (minus the tech glitch). Every single film was excellent!
We have decided on several factors for MAD MOVIE NIGHT. Bring your short films, 7 minutes or less, on DVD or miniDV tape, and we'll project them on the BIG SCREEN. November 14th, 6PM at the Ross in Lincoln! Walk-ins and first time visitors are encouraged!
Dorothy and Chad are planning on screening Manna for the Damned with Declaration of Independents as a double feature in November also! More TBA soon!
Kerry Knight is busy with Bread and Cup, a new restaurant downtown. He also caught us up to date with efforts in the Nebraska Legislature to get tax breaks for large scale film productions tax breaks.
Jake Hull won 2nd place in the Cinema16 72 Hour film challenge. Rhett is helping him with horror shoot for their next Halloween contest.
