Hello NIFPer’s,
Happy New Year to all! May it be a fruitful and exciting year to come. That’s the plan for the NIFP. Let’s make it fruitful and exciting. Some things to look forward to in the year to come…The Omaha Film Festival is next month. Shall we do some carpooling and go out and support the Nebraska Festival? Middle of Nowhere is this year so get your entries ready and watch for more information. It will be a great time with more surprises. Stay tuned for some great new updates to the NIFP site.

Thanks to all those that came out to Bread and Cup last month, and thanks to Kerry Knight for allowing us to meet there. That brings us to this month’s meeting. We will be back at the Mary Ross Theatre on the UNL campus. We ask that everyone come out in full force, be there, and bring a friend. You, the filmmaker, can make the NIFP great. Filmmakers unite and come together. We have important business this month and need your input.

On our agenda this month: We want to know what you want on our website. Tell us what we can do to make it better for the user, and what will help turn it into a useful tool for the filmmaker. We will start the planning for Middle of Nowhere 2008, get some updates, talk about what was great or not so much about the last, and what can we do to improve upon it. We will also compile a grant list, and decide which ones we want to apply for. Bring in your grant ideas.

Let’s make 2008 awesome! The sky is the limit!
