NET Television will be holding auditions for three very exciting film projects
on April 6 from 2-5pm, April 7 from 4-7pm, and April 9 from 7-10pm.

If you are cast, all dramatic projects will involve:

1 to 2 rehearsals at NET Television station

Taping at various Lincoln locations, varying from a couple hours to a maximum of
3 days, depending on the part

Leads, supporting actors, background artists, high school age and up

Payment, but it varies widely, depending on parts and project money sources

Project 1: Nebraska Professional Practices
For the Nebraska Professional Practices Commission, a DVD with 6 dramatic
vignettes that model ethical issues facing teachers, issues that affect their
teaching certificates.

Written by Peg Sheldrick.

Topics: theft, contract abrogation, coming to work under the influence of
drugs, using a school computer inappropriately, pursuing a student sexually, and
arranging a sexual rendezvous with a minor.

All vignettes are rated G – no
language, no encounters. Just the possibility of inappropriate behavior.

Need actors from high school age & up. Taping in May/June.

Project 2: Graduate Studies Responsible Conduct in Research For the University
of Nebraska Graduate Studies Department, a DVD with 4 dramatic vignettes that
illustrate ethical issues for graduate students studying science.

Written by Virginia Smith.

Topics: data management, collaborative science, mentorship, peer review.

Mostly need actors that could pass for grad students, but may need a few
teacher-age actors. Taping in June/July.

Project 3: Psychology Department Law Trial
For the University of Nebraska Psych Dept.

a DVD that re-enacts a condensed
version of an actual trial about sexual harassment in the workplace.

(Names & some circumstances will be changed.) To be used with focus groups to find out
how juries react.

Will record in one day in the UNL law college courtroom,
practically live on tape.

Very little memorization – scripts will be used as if
they are notes in the trial.

Need adult actors: lawyers, defendant, witnesses. Taping at end of August.
