Horror Feature Production in Lincoln, NE

This September, Wake the Witch, a horror suspense feature written and directed by Dorothy Booraem, will begin shooting in Lincoln, Nebraska. Inspired by the creeping dread of Japanese horror films, Wake the Witch is a ninety-minute feature about three friends who unwittingly release the vengeful spirit of a witch from her resting place in Wilderness Park. As the spirit's influence over the city grows, the friends search for answers begins. But each answer only raises more questions as the power they unleashed reveals a truth beyond their imagination.

Wake the Witch is the latest project from Dorothy’s Girl Meets Monster Productions and the independent production company, Unfiltered Entertainment, Inc. It will be shot in high definition digital video at a variety of locations around Lincoln.

Auditions for lead roles in Wake the Witch will take place in Omaha and Lincoln during August. The Omaha audition will be held on Saturday, August 16th at the Nebraska Film Group studio (1904 Farnam Street) from 1 to 5 pm. Lincoln auditions will be held on Saturday, August 23rd at the Latvian Social Hall (3272 Mohawk Street) from 12 to 5 pm.
