Lincoln's Zombie Walk-Saturday September 20th, 2008!!!!

ONE: Meet at the State Theater at 1415 O St on September 20th, between 3:30pm and 7pm,) in your own zombie getup. Get creative!

TWO: Meet at the State Theater at 1415 O St at 3:30pm in clothes you don't care to have destroyed. We'll zombify you as best we can. We will charge $2 for this, but it only goes to pay for the makeup, blood, and supplies we use.

THREE: Meet us at the State Theater, at 1415 O St, by 7pm. Once the zombies leave you will position yourself somewhere along the route (near unsuspecting witnesses.) Make sure you've got a piece of duct tape prominently displayed on your shirt so that we'll know you want to be eaten. (see "how to get eaten" below) If there is any doubt about who wants to be devoured, we will not devour them. Only people who obviously are into it will get attacked. So come find us. Don't make us do all the work.

THE RULES

We may be Undead, but we are still bound by the laws of the city. So please keep in mind that any super-retarded hijinks you pull (like breaking things or attacking people who don't want to be involved) could put the kibosh on this or any future events. You will be responsible for any damage or problems you cause and we don't want anybody doing anything that would get them in trouble!

Here are the basic rules:

- No alcohol or drugs while marching (drinking afterwards is encouraged for the over 21 set, however)

- No touching or harassing bystanders

- No blocking of traffic. We must stay on the sidewalks and use cross walks. The city says so!

- No destruction of property. This includes bloody handprints!!! We won't do this again if we have problems with this!

- No scaring children

- No entering any galleries or shops

- stay on the sidewalks and obey traffic lights

- No lawbreaking of any sort. You will be liable for your actions.

What is a zombie walk? "Zombie Walks" have become a WORLD-WIDE phenomenon! Starting from the Flash Mob scene where groups of people decide to perform a random, but coordinated, act in front of unsuspecting people, for the simple purpose of getting great reactions. Thus, the zombie walk or zombie crawl was born...or revived, as it would be more accurately described!!!

We will be dressing like zombies and walking through several areas of downtown Lincoln, just to have some fun. It is guaranteed to be one of the most fun nights you have this year. There are 3 ways to be invovled:

#1 You can come down to the State Theater at 1415 O St anytime between 3:30pm and 7pm. Come already dressed as a zombie, but be there by 7pm!

#2 You can show up at the State Theater at 1415 O St at 3:30pm in clothes you don’t mind getting destroyed. We will then put some makeup/blood on you. We will be charging $2 to do your makeup for you. We aren't turing a profit, just paying for the makeup and blood.

#3 Or you can meet us the State Theater at 1415 O St anytime between 3:30pm and 7pm to be a victim. After teh zombies leave the theater, just put yourself on the walking path to be an attack victim. (preferably near unsuspecting witnesses!) Place a large “X” in ductape on you chest. This will signify that you are a willing participant, (see the image to the left.) Again, wear clothes that can be destroyed. They may get torn and will get bloodied!! When you rise from the swarm of zombies you can join the walk.

Keep in touch and tell your friends. This will only be put out on myspace, (maybe a mention on Facebook) so only those that are in on this flash mob event will know about it!
