Making Movies in Nebraska Update- Senator Mello's LB282

Michelle Schrage sent a message to the members of Make More Movies in Nebraska.
Hello wonderful supporters of Nebraska Filmmaking!

I wanted to let you know that Senator Heath Mello (Omaha's 5th Dist.) is taking the lead on introducing film tax incentive bill to the senate this legislative session. The bill is known as LB282.

Now is the time to rally around Senator Mello and show more support for this industry and demonstrate how we can develop more infrastructure and continue to grow the industry with job creation by moving
this bill forward. LB282 has not been assigned to a committee. Senators Mello and Nantkes (last year's champion of the bill) are on the Appropriations Committee but it is yet undetermined where this will be reviewed. As soon as the bill is assigned, it would be great to begin dialogue with those seated senators.

A strategy planning meeting will be held with Senator Mello in one week.

Again, thank you all for your support! If you would like to share your appreciation with Senator Mello for his efforts, feel free to email him at hmello@leg.ne.gov.
