Calling all Boy Scouts and Volunteer Filmmaker Professors!
My name is Mark Danner and I am the Chair for the Salt Valley Cornhusker Council Boys Scouts of America Spring 2009 Camporee. This year’s event is entitled “Lights, Camera, CAMPOREE!” and is devoted to amateur film making on video. The event scheduled for the end of April is a weekend camp out with a normal attendance of 300-500 youth and adults. We will run stations on film making activities and each troop will produce a 5-7 minute film that will be entered into a competition. The films will be shown the week after the event at the Joyo Theater here in Lincoln . What I am looking for are experts that could lead our stations in things like camera work, props and special effects. The stations usually run about thirty minutes and would rotate with groups of 25-35 boys. Do you feel that there is anything that your organization could do to help this event?
