
Movies on the Green All of the screenings are presented on the grass in front of Kimball Recital Hall, located at 12th and R Streets in Lincoln. Screenings are free and open to the public and begin at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.)

The Governor's Arts Awards are presented annually by the Nebraska Arts Council, Nebraskans for The Arts, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment and the Office of the Governor.

The GAA Awards categories include:
Artist of the Year
An individual artist practicing in any discipline whose work or career has made a significant contribution to their art form and to the state of Nebraska
Emerging Leader
An individual artist, arts administrator or patron who has made a significant impact on the arts in Nebraska in a short period of time. This award is limited to individuals 35 years or younger or individuals who have been working in the field for five years or less.
Excellence in Arts Education
An individual that has made a long term outstanding contribution to arts education in Nebraska
Heritage Award
An individual who exemplifies authenticity and excellence within a cultural tradition
Organizational Achievement Award
An arts organization that demonstrates achievement at a consistently high level of excellence in programming and outreach
Thomas C. Woods III Partner in the Arts Award
An individual, business, school district or community organization that has shown outstanding commitment by its continued support of the arts through time, energy, expertise and/or financial support
