OMAHA FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES A SPECIAL SCREENING OF “LOVELY, STILL”

Omaha, NE – The 2010 Omaha Film Festival is proud to announce a special screening of the film “Lovely, Still” to be screened at the Great Escape Omaha Stadium 16 on 7440 Crown Point Avenue on Saturday, March 6th as a part of the 2010 Omaha Film Festival Film Conference.

Shot mostly in Omaha, “Lovely, Still” stars Academy Award winners Martin Landau (“Ed Wood,” “Crimes & Misdemeanors”) & Ellen Burstyn (“Requiem for a Dream,” “The Exorcist”) and is a holiday fable about an older man falling in love for the first time and learning that life is infinitely more lovely than he dared imagine. The film brought audiences to their feet at its debut at the Toronto Film Festival.

Written & directed by 24-year-old Nik Fackler in his debut feature, the film also stars two of Hollywood's most sought- after young actors Elizabeth Banks (“W,” “Uninvited,” “Zach & Miri Make a Porno”) and Adam Scott (“Step Brothers,” “Knocked Up,” “Monster-In-Law”).

Produced by Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy of Parts & Labour, Dana Altman of North Sea Films, and James Lawler, the film is executive produced by Virgil Price of Sterling Productions, Jack Turner of White Buffalo Entertainment, Ian McGloin, Charlie Ledley and Jamie Mai of Strange Loop Entertainment.

The film features original music by Conor Oberst and a score by Nate Walcott and Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes.

Nik Fackler and Dana Altman will also participate in discussion panels about filmmaking with other notable Hollywood stars during the Omaha Film Festival Film Conference which is open to the public on March 6th and 7th at the Creighton University Hixson-Lied Science Building.
