Reel Camp- one-day intensive workshop on filmmaking
PLYMOUTH, MA - How long has it been since you’ve been to camp? How about a one-day intensive workshop on filmmaking? If you’ve ever wanted to learn about film and video while creating your own, Reel Camp is for you. This is your chance to immerse yourself in the challenge of producing your own short film sequence while interfacing with your environment, your subjects, and your stories.
Hosted by Glorianna Davenport, founder of the Media Fabrics Group (previously the Interactive Cinema Group) of the MIT Media Lab, along with colleagues and students from MIT and other prestigious Boston universities and colleges, the workshop is an opportunity for you to be guided through the filmmaking process from script to final sequence on Saturday, June 24th from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The results of the workshop will be premiered four weeks later at the Plymouth Independent Film Festival, along with films by regional, national and international emerging and established filmmakers.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn filmmaking from the best, while creating your own. The start location is Brewster Gardens in Plymouth promptly at 9 a.m. Be prepared for weather conditions and pack a lunch, or have your lunch at one of the nearby restaurants during lunch break. Costumes and props are welcome.
